Dealer Principal
The dealer of record and ultimate decision maker for a franchise dealership.
Definition
The dealer principal is the individual approved by the manufacturer to hold the franchise. They own or operate the rooftop and are accountable to the OEM for everything from CSI scores to capital investment. In dealer groups, each rooftop typically has its own dealer principal.
