The Dealership AI Readiness Assessment, Explained

Updated June 2026 · 3 min read
QoreAI scores every dealership across five pillars in twelve questions. This guide walks through each pillar so you can interpret your score and decide what to do next.
The five pillars
Data Foundation. How clean and accessible your DMS and CRM data is. Score low here and most AI plays will stall.
Tooling and Access. Whether the right people have working accounts for ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot at the right tier.
Team Capability. How comfortable your front line is using AI tools day to day, not just leadership.
Governance. The rules of the road for data, customer information, and OEM compliance.
Execution Rhythm. Whether you have a cadence to actually ship anything, AI or otherwise.
How to read your score
A score under 40 means foundational work first. Do not buy AI tools. Get the data and the cadence in order.
A score of 40 to 70 means run plays. You are in the sweet spot. Pick three plays, ship them, then reassess.
A score above 70 means you are an outlier. Focus on scaling what is already working and helping your peer group catch up.
What the assessment cannot tell you
The assessment does not measure dealer principal commitment. That is binary and qualitative. Without it, no score helps.
It also does not measure market specifics. A rural single point and a metro 12 store group with the same score will run very different plays.

FAQ
How long does the assessment take?
About six minutes. Twelve questions, one per screen, no long form text.
Do I have to be a dealer principal to take it?
No. GMs, fixed ops directors, and digital marketing managers all benefit from the score, and QoreAI routes the plays accordingly.
Should I retake the assessment after a 90 day cycle?
Yes. Retaking it at the end of each cycle is the easiest way to see whether the plays moved the needle.
